BECRAFT, Dwight Bert

1936-2008

Dwight Bert Becraft was born in Portland on Dec. 1, 1936, and passed away on April 12, 2008.

He graduated from Washington High School in 1955. He faithfully served in the National Guard for seven years. He was a warehouseman in the hardware industry for over 40 years and retired with Cotter & Company in 1994. In his retirement, he worked part-time at the Gateway Winco.

He married the love of his life, Janette Elaine McLean on Aug. 10, 1958. Together they had two children, Tod and Kimberley, and one grandson, Anthony. His favorite pastime was sportfishing in Costa Rica and Mexico with his twin brother, Don.

He took pleasure in owning and driving his 1988 Mustang convertible. He also loved to barbecue for his family. He and his wife spent eight years "snowbirding" at their winter home in Arizona.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Don, and survived by his immediate family and his mother-in-law, Ione Malfo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oregon Humane Society.

Think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched. For nothing loved is ever lost. And he was loved so much.
